Amaryllis

My Amaryllis has foot tall leaves but no shoot yet.....do you suppose it is the difference in variety, maybe? I don't know what mine is...

i always thought the flowers came before the leaves, could be the different variety i suppose only first one i've ever had was looked after last year by my mother who has very green fingers!!! hope i don't kill it LOL

Mine is like yours, Skippy. I get many leaves before a shoot appears..
The amaryllis I currently have blooming has had 4 blooms, with 2 to go.
I am posting a picture so you can see the difference, sewingkilla.
Looks like your bloom will be big!

its still growing up!!! hope it flowers soon or i'll have to put a hole in the ceiling LOL!!!
