OMG, im worried about those Tree ferns T&T...

Crikey, will they survive?

This pic was yesterday Sat 10th Jan. Today however it has warmed up again. The crowns are stuffed with straw and fleece to keep the frost and ice off.
Last year they had several inches of snow on them when I awoke one morning and survived then.
This is their 3rd winter in this position outside so hopefully they will be fine. They look fine today.

I thought the leaves died off in the winter......

No the leaves stay all year and then some. In the spring some of the lower older ones will turn brown and then just hang downwards. These I snip off and compost.

they do look really good with the frost on, after all it's not often that you see them like this..glad you have the much needed protection around the crowns though..i thought they had to be completely wrapped up in winter..you learn something new everyday.
