Lupins growing in the stark desert, without a wee drop of rain.

Amazing how tough they are.

Our yard is full of them, will photograph when it is blooming

Must be a different sort to the UK ones!

It is the "wild" ones, short & bushy, only bluish purple.

This appears to be the Texas bluebonnet. It is the state flower of Texas.
