Forsythia (previous spring)

Forsythia (previous spring) (Forsythia)

Forsythia grows in the side garden, and I have transplanted it into the back one as well. The birds like the shrubs for staging and cover from predators. I like the yellow spring flowers.

I like looking at my Spring photos when in the depths of winter. It encourages me that the end is in sight. My crocuses and daffs are beginning to push through the soil here, but it will be a few weeks before we see flowers. All those guys in UK have got them in flower already!

Not all of us Chrispook. We must be just a week or so ahead of you, but
nowhere near as far on as the southern half of England. The snowdrops have just flowered this week (not opened up tho), No crocus or iris, some dafffs are showing now closed flowerheads. Like you, a couple more weeks or so. We might be slightly warmer than you lately, but probably not much. Last nite, driving home at 9pm, temp was -3 and visibility a few yards due to freezing fog. Picked my wife up at Edinburgh airport (amazed flights could even land) and she immediately took ill after a few days in London. What a difference an hour makes!
