the one behind is a Bramley Apple Jaque ,the other one you can just see is a Cox,s Orange Pippin , I also have a Russet and a conference pear , none of them are very old so I haven,t had much fruit yet.. I do have a cob nut tree it has some lovely big nuts on it but the squirrels always beat me to it ,the ground is littered with the shells and you know that they have had them .........:o)

"Our" squirrel (a big plump one) actually sits on the top and shakes the branches to bring them down - cheeky beggar!

Ahh perhaps thats how they do it Shirley I was a bit puzzled as to why they didn,t get tangled up in the net LOL

Think should plant one for Cyril and family to be ! lol

Yes BB you do that but please don,t expect to have any for yourself .Cyril and his family would love it .
Besides having a cob nut tree which I put in we also have some hazel nut trees in the hedgerow , they are way to high for us to reach , when the nuts are ready it,s like walking on a carpet of nut shells and the ones they don,t eat they bury and then you see them scrapping about in the lawn looking for the ones they have hidden ............
