Thank for the very nice comments. It is so difficult to take good photos in the Botanical Building because it's a large lath-house and the Sun shines through the wooden-laths creating many shadows.

The Orchid family (Orchidaceae) is the largest flowering plant family in the World. Supposedly, there's approximately 25,000 known species and then the endless hybrids of orchids. It's pretty overwhelming.

I've been to some very large Orchid shows up in the Los Angeles area and it's mind-boggling how many beautiful hybrids are out there.
