They use to do very good meals there , that was before we moved from the area several years ago . !
It did look closed , I will ask my daughter when we meet up with her family at the weekend .. she has a friend who lives in the village ....................

21 Jan, 2009

So that's where Tufty and Ann Other keep going off to! I thought they were very merry.

21 Jan, 2009

Amy

21 Jan, 2009

OMG Amy...Cyrils been caught out at last.!!! Cf...he may be industrious but not THAT much what on earth is he doing with a shotgun and fishing rod ?? !lol

It,s a boys weekend away BB a hunting trip before he settles down with Twiggy and has a family LOL

21 Jan, 2009

amy
Amy

Knowing the girls BB experimenting with bushy tailed hair does with coloured ribbons for the big day and choosing flowers ........ LOL
No ..I think they would go for a weekend of pampering at a health clinic , toe nail clips , maybe a slight high light in there fur , a little massage , bowls of nuts laid on that kind of thing ....LOL

21 Jan, 2009

WOW...sounds too good for squirrels ! Jane wants to go now !!LOL

21 Jan, 2009

amy
Amy

Jane can come with me as Chaperon to the youngsters ,we wouldn,t want them to get into any trouble . and if they have one to many we can see them home ..!!! ..... Just a thought who,s going to keep an eye on us and see us home .... LOL ...

21 Jan, 2009

Good idea Amy..youll probably all be found snug as bugs in rugs, curled up together in the drey LOL !!

21 Jan, 2009

amy
Amy

Ahh what a lovely idea , with our fur full of curlers LOL !

21 Jan, 2009

LOL Think we all a bit bonkers, arent we.....but all good fun .!

21 Jan, 2009

amy
Amy

LOL .............Yes !

22 Jan, 2009

Amy squirrels do not wear curlers....they use a hot iron..to straighten their fur...they are usually all fuzzy curly you know.

22 Jan, 2009

amy
Amy

Oh.. sorry Catfinch ! Did you know that BB ..We have to supply them with straightners , I haven,t got any have you ? ...... LOL ........

22 Jan, 2009

Noooo Amy LOLbut would jumbo curlers do the trick do you think ??

22 Jan, 2009

amy
Amy

Yes I have got some of those , we will make do .. LOL ..

22 Jan, 2009

CF its only the multimillionaire squirrels that use the straighteners. All the other squirrels have to be satisfied with curlers....jumbo or not. This is because the regular squirrels don't have anywhere to plug the straighteners in.

23 Jan, 2009

amy
Amy

Your a genious Gilli who would have thought of that ! now that we have sorted that one out we can get on with experimenting with styles for the great day .... Cyril ,Twiggy, - Tufty, Ann other and companions should be returning to their respective homes this weekend .. so watch out BB and Gee they will proberly be full of high jinks ..........

23 Jan, 2009

I dunno...had been wondering what all those little drop cords running into my shrubs were about,,that is how I found out about the straighteners....funny looking little curly characters...they are.

23 Jan, 2009

Cyril already home Amy [see pic] anxiously waiting for twiggy outside their drey !!

23 Jan, 2009

amy
Amy

Catfinch I haven,t any idea what drop cords are please tell me :o)

23 Jan, 2009

Didn't you notice the high electricity bill CF? It must be enormous.

Amy, CF is refering to the electrical cords coming from the straighteners.....I think the beehive look is back Amy and one of the girls would look lovely with a beehive do!!

24 Jan, 2009

amy
Amy

Thanks Gilli , these different words can throw you sometimes .......

You are right Gilli a beehive with a little coronet round it would be perfect BB take note .. LOL

24 Jan, 2009

drop cords are actually a cord that comes from the outlet in the wall to the cord attatched to the electric straightener..it may be called an extention cord there ...GF calls his oven hood an extractor..took me a while to figure out what he was extracting....lol...oh no not a beehive..how about little ratting up with a bow in the front above the bangs?

24 Jan, 2009

But Cat....we are working with extra large rollers here....besides the beehive is a good place for them to hide a few nuts as a snack.

24 Jan, 2009

the rats nest on top would work for nuts too...lol...

24 Jan, 2009

amy
Amy

Why would the bride and brides maids want rats nest on there heads , I don,t think so , they would bite there little heads off...... lol......

24 Jan, 2009

no no no ..not real rats..but the puffing up with the snarling action by backcombing ..it looks a bit like a rats nest...lol...

24 Jan, 2009

Cyril says Oh beehive yourselves LOL

24 Jan, 2009

amy
Amy

Thank goodness for that Catfinch , This GOY is a real exchange of culture ...LOL ...

24 Jan, 2009

amy
Amy

LOL ... Good one BB ..

24 Jan, 2009

Good idea Gilli Cyrils always looking for a hiding place for his nuts ! A beehive ! Now why didnt I think of that ? lol

24 Jan, 2009

amy
Amy

And he would have honey combs for his fur as well , clever girl Gilli .......

24 Jan, 2009

Yes Amy,that should keep Twiggy "sweet" ! lol

24 Jan, 2009

Just so long as the bees don't mistake it for theirs.....then there really would be trouble.....yikes....visions of squirrels hopping everywhich way, nuts flying everywhere, honeycombs dripping and sticking down all the fur....not a pretty sight !

24 Jan, 2009

OMG Gilli what a picture...and with poor Twiggy expecting....bless her she needs some peace and quiet !lol

24 Jan, 2009

amy
Amy

Poor Twiggy ... she can,t cope with all this in her delicate condition ,she will be a nervous wreck , a bee hive is a deffinate no.. no ,... the plans will have to be redrawn ............ lol ....
How about a nice little fringe with spikey punkey topnot and a cobweb veil ............We will leave Cyril to sort the house out ........
how long is it before this happy event ?

25 Jan, 2009

Well Amy,if Twiggy gives birth say beginning of Feb,gestation is 45 days and then the babies spend two months in nest.So should see young ones mid May ! Watch this space !

25 Jan, 2009

amy
Amy

Oh BB , I do wish that you could have one of those little camcorder things in the drey wouldn,t that be exciting to see all this happening and the tiny babies ..... Ring Bill Oddie .... LOL .

26 Jan, 2009

Twiggy is Prego....oh my no...no beehive ...goodness..poor Twiggy.
I say leave it down long in a soft braid to curl round with her tail...rest dear mama to be Twiggy...will not get much after the wee ones come...so stay warm and drift along sleeping on Cyril's shoulder..stay snug and sweet now...

27 Jan, 2009

amy
Amy

Ahhh sounds so sweet catfinch I can just imagine them all cosy and cuddled up . :o)

27 Jan, 2009

Thanks for that suggestion Amy ... an old fella like me climbing a tree with a video camera that over - looks a school playing field , wonder how many years I d get for that ! lol

27 Jan, 2009

amy
Amy

OH No.. BB , don,t even think about it , I would hate to have to visit you with a cake with a file tucked away inside it ... LOL

27 Jan, 2009

LOL. What a picture that presents BB. Amy we could always send Cyril in with the file hidden in his tail. I bet he could make it past the guards with no problem.

27 Jan, 2009

The mind boggles Amy ..if parents cant film nativity plays with their own children in it what chance would I have ! Throw away the key now .. filming a squirrel where ? Oh please.

Now we couldnt both leave together Gilli could we? I d have to leave disguised as a six foot squirrel and Cyril would need to take my place , Twiggy never forgive me.

Dont even go there about me taking Cyrils place in the drey ! lol

27 Jan, 2009

amy
Amy

Thats true Gilli , nobody would suspect Cyril .. he could take Twiggy in wearing her maternity smock she could hide all sorts of goodies under there LOL

27 Jan, 2009

amy
Amy

It,s all very sad isn,t it BB , you can,t help looking back to how it use to be ............

27 Jan, 2009

The world has gone mad, hasn't it. I used to work with children as a brownie leader and Guide leader etc. I don't anymore. If you so much as look at a child someone will have something to say let alone if the child falls and hurts themselves you can't even help pick them up off the ground. Its just not worth the hassle.

27 Jan, 2009

Aye Jane works with children and if they come running down a corridor and she puts her hand up to tell them to slow down , they turn round and say dont touch me or I ll have you for assault.Sigh...

27 Jan, 2009

amy
Amy

Those were the days Gilli , a couple of my friends were guide leaders years ago , it takes up an awful lot of your time but a very worthwhile thing to do .......

27 Jan, 2009

amy
Amy

It,s all gone to far thats why they are running round the streets doing exactly what they want because they know that nobody can stop them , , surely it will come full circle one day ........

27 Jan, 2009

It was very rewarding Amy. But I'd not do it now if you paid me. You can get in so much trouble...
BB, that doesn't surprise me at all. Its the same over here. What happened to teaching your children respect and manners? Tsk! I hope Twiggy and Cyril bring their children up properly. It would be awful to have the little 'uns running around your garden acting like little hooligans BB. Spray painting slogans on the trees, hiding behind the bushes smoking pot, leaving broken beer bottles everywhere. I think you should have a good talk to the expectant couple before the happy event.

27 Jan, 2009

Strange thing is children seem to relate to people of much older generation around their grandparents age ... so perhaps theres hope they dont actually like having no rules or boundaries despite their bravado .

Well Cyril ever thought of going into politics ? lol all this from a pub sign well done Amy !

27 Jan, 2009

amy
Amy

A six foot Squirrel you would have to pretend you were going to a fancy dress party .. LOL .... BB please dont leave Cyril behind it would distress Twiggy so much , i,m sure she would know the difference between you and Cyril in the drey ...lol ...

27 Jan, 2009

I believe that children do like to know how far they can go , I started one of the first play groups in the country in my home , at first I was allowed 10 children , it was in so much demand that my next step was hiring the village hall then I was allowed 25 children , the headmaster came to see me when the first batch started school he was so impressed he could tell which ones which had been to playgroup and which hadn,t , the ones that had been were ready to learn could write their names and were well behaved ,we were quite strict about how they treated each other ... the group is still there today ......

27 Jan, 2009

Aye give me the child and I ll show you the man so catch em young Amy.

27 Jan, 2009

Good Job Amy..you did well...
