Hello Arlene, is this near home?

Yes 10~15 minutes walk!
~it gets busy during the summer but this time of year only dedicated dog walkers and local keep fit enthusiasts go there and particularly at teatime ,as it is getting dark, less of them are about!

~thanks everyone! we are lucky we know!
~We had the choice of a much bigger house not so good location or the one we live in which was newly built but not that big, but has all this on our doorstep~I don't regret what we did!

Stunning picture...I had never seen sand this color before...it almost would seem alien - like you were on Mars, if Mars actually had an atmosphere and you could live there...=)

~Thanks Raquel
~it's darker when it is wet after the tide has gone out but is a lot lighter when dry as you can see nearer the rocks.I think there may be a bit of shadow too.
There are a lot of different coloured sands around the UK due to the different composition of the rocks and tide etc some beaches are just shingle with no sand~while Northern Scotland has sand which is very pale coloured.

Isn't that what seagulls are for? A dog I had years ago certainly thought so!
