Don't they just! Alady who used to live near us had Samoyeds and would strip their coats and spin the wool for sweaters.

Yes, dog wool can make wonderful garments.
I've seen some lovely jumpers and cardigans made from Sheltie hair ! :o)

Bet its warm TT...only hope the dogs have a bath first...and just imagine if you got caught in a shower.......errrrrr....wet dog fur!! lol

I have pictures of a Shetland Sheepdog owner, using her spinning wheel, and sitting surrounded by Shelties.

Similarly, I have photos from Germany of a Rough Collie owner who spins the wool from her dogs.... and a picture of her husband wearing a Collie wool 'tank top' ! :o)

I'm storing the combings from Conker, and hope to eventually have that spun to make Sheltie wool.

Not sure about when it gets wet ! Lol

I think my dog (Mandy) being a northern mixture has plenty of samoyed in her..she actually suffers with the heat in summer...think I'll arranged to have her belly shaved this summer...
