Another question answered by a pic!...I see the blue and brown eyed friend is in third dog position... GT's comment about the look of joy in their eyes when they're pulling...they are team players and they love it! You have to respect such diligence... Have you seen the Iditarod, GT??

It has a formal end here in Fairbanks as does the Yukon Quest, a much longer race. They race right through town. Much more mixed looking usually than this, these dogs are gorgeous. We've been moving the end around as the climate shifts, we're starting to bring in snow and can't race on the river anymore.

Is this climate shift a symptom of recent changes or do the elders have memories of similar periods? I remember that very little snow was the rule in the far north...it was just too cold to snow! desert climate. Would love to see the NWT, Yukon and Alaska...a bother that you are feeling climate change up there though!!
