I'd have called it a beetle - did you know what it was, or did you look it up? It's a very attractive beetle! :-)

Hello Spritzhenry, I looked it up. I love seeing all forms of natural things but an expert I am not.

We call these June Bugs here...I loved finding them as a child...very nice to see while we are still in our winter here...
