No, actually it's one of those really inexpensive single azaleas that you can get from the supermarket in a small pot for $3.99 or something, not supposed to last more than a few weeks, but I refused to throw this one out after it flowered, kept it a whole 2 years and it has rewarded me by growing 4 times its size with more flowers than I could imagine! the poor thing even dried out once or twice when I forgot it. We have 2 hibiscus in the living room where it's a little warmer, an apricot one and a pale salmon pink. I'll take photos when more blooms come.
Behind the azalea is the purple oxalis that Michelleanomaly was asking about.
