I think the shrub is called Euryops virgineus, just looked it up online and it looks like your shrub Steve

thank you for identifying that shrub, couldn't find it on a google search.
had to move it last year , as it got so big where it was . unfortunately it didn't like it's new spot , so it's an ex euryops now.
grown some large dahlias in that part of the garden , to act as a divide between garden and veg patch.
