A close up of the flowers. This plant is in the Rubiaceae family which is the same family as Coffea arabica - Coffee. Pic taken Feb. 1, 2009. On a beautiful warm day in Sunny San Diego, CA.

This is one of the very common varities of Pentas available here in San Diego, CA. So many usual hybrids are becoming available in the last couple of years. Sometimes I will see the unusual orange-flowered variety.
