Yes, we set these about 6 years ago, they've grown from about 18 inches to 10 foot, this is where I saw the gold crest for the first time :-) My bench in in the distance but never get chance to sit down, lol.

Hi dawn, our snow turned to rain overnight, and by this morning had all gone ! Bitterly cold though, and more snow forecast.Birds eating for England again all day !

3 Feb, 2009

Our birds have been soooo hungry again too, hope you don't get too much snow again.

More forecast for Thursday and Friday Dawn.gon through a whole large coffee jar of seed today, endless sultanas and big bowl of fat/oats mix, plus the rooks had cold chopped up new potatos.! Some going !

Have you ever know the birds to be so desperate for food BB? Its been a long, hard winter for them hasnt it and the natural foods must be depleted by now I would think. I really need to stock up, they had some muesli today which I soaked in hot water, that went down well.

3 Feb, 2009

Agree Dawn..feeding non stop.We too have to stock up again. The forecasters are saying this bad weather may go on through the whole of February ! Wilkos is such good value for basics..any of our left overs go into "the pot" too.jane even leaves some of her dinner too..can see her thinking "the birds will enjoy this tomorrow "

3 Feb, 2009

I was planning on stocking up today and then I stayed at work longer than expected and planned to go tomorrow but just looked at the forecast, heavy snow starting at 9am - oh no, they birds will just have to have John's muesli again, lol. Full of fruit and nuts, they love it. Feb is going to be horrible then.

4 Feb, 2009

Hi Dawn..theyre saying much of Feb will be bad : ( Today was bitterly cold here....all eating like mad again.Going to be an expensive month !

4 Feb, 2009

We could really do without this freeze during a credit crunch. I'll be making sure mine are OK tomorrow but run out of seed and nuts now, and if it snows tomorrow I wont be able to get out :-(

4 Feb, 2009

More snow on them today - snow on snow, they are quite weighted down now.

5 Feb, 2009

Wow, I'll have to go knocking the snow off!
