Missing Clematis!

I got up for work and the clematis has become a few stray leaves! What may have happened?! THen I see the bee-line tracks of a yearling moose......

I suppose if the roots are intact it should recover? Poor moose must have been desperate in all that snow.

Poor GT. Can you put chicken wire around it or something next year??

He'll be back even if its next year new yearling. :-) I'll have to wrap it up next year. Hope it saves it. I think this will come every year. It may wander through during summer as well. Loves Peas :-)

Moose...lol. Or mooses. :-) I'll have to wrap it up next year. I think it was the life in the vine that the moose could smell. Always one around, as it grows up I'll see less and less of it. Then momma kicks out another. There's no escape other than fence.
