Every Oct. staff make this wonderful display of veg. & flowers grown throughout the year. On the second week of the display they then hold what they call "the big draw" they place straw bales around the area, have all different mediums for drawing, pencils, charcoal, pastels, paint, paper, etc. then invite the visitors to sit down & draw & paint the display, or anything in the garden. Some work gets displayed on the walls. Of course some people come along with their easels & all the gear. The children absolutely love it.

I went to Heligan about 5 years ago and it rained heavily and incessantly the whole time. We intend to make a return visit when hopefully the weather will be kinder.
