A wonderful place to visit - a 'must see' for any visit to Cornwall

maybe when I retire I shall be able to return to britain...my genes left there a century-or-so ago. Family came from East Sussex, Lewes, Hove, Brighton area.. would love to see Cornwall.

Tim Smit is one amazing man! This restoration was a labour of love for him, and it is unbelievable how he was able to bring this truly lost garden back to its full glory, and then move on to build The Eden Project! The store has a DVD on the restoration of the garden, we bought one and can relive our experience each time we watch. This is a must see for anyone considering a visit.

the best garden i've ever been to. the most amazing plants to look at. so great to see such an old garden with huge trees. very welcoming staff well worth a visit.

We visited Heligan 6 years ago & would certainly go again - even without knowing the amazing story of it's discovery you'll be over-whelmed with the 'walk' that takes you right through the the depths of the garden with it's huge tropical trees - children would love it's jungly feel - also walked past the charcoal pits which are still in use - nice shop with lots of things made on the premises. Well worth going but try & get there first thing in the day as it soon fills up with coaches.

i went last year with my mum, dad and nanna, unfortunatily we couldn't manage the steep slopping parts due to dad still recovering from a 5% chance of living heart op but the bit's we did see where amazing, we went to the Eden Centre the day before but i have to say i enjoyed Heligan far more!
i ended up taking just over 200 pic's!
i'm new to this site and haven't made a blog about it but it was one of my fave experiances!
now i'm wishing i got the DVD like Tammielee!
