Brinjal is also known as eggplant, aubergine .... yes, it is a vegetable. The white ones are not common in Singapore. So far, I have not seen the white brinjals in the markets, supermarkets, greengrocers. And the shops here do not sell the seeds too. The purple and dark purple are plentiful.
