border

border

oh my aching back! dug this over and removed an old penstenom that i moved to herbaceous border further down the garden, i am not growing bamboo canes, but once i dug it over it looked like a large cat litter tray that i knew the local cats would love, so i have placed bamboo canes all over in the hopes ( not holding out much hope though) that they will stop them at least cut it down a bit!! I love my cat but they can be such a nuisance using freshly dug borders as litter trays.

yes he's cute isn't he? well have put some white foxgloves at the back, i want to make it more cottagy Jacque so will put in some of your poppies i think, at the front those 3 blobs are saxifrage, the bush on the right is Rosemary, there are a lot of little daffs coming through called Jenny, and the shrub behind the snail is a perennial wallflower,

I've tried the sticks idea in newly dug borders and found it did work to some extent.

Thers's an old caravan in a garden up the back road here and Blodyn goes to the toilet under it. lol. But she still scratches the soil in the garden aswell :o) She just scratches it.

Maybe the cats will be scared away by the big snail .....
or Sewingkilla could park an old caravan in her front garden and the cats would then have their own private loo. :o)

Well i looked this morning and cant see any scratching in the soil so maybe the sticks have worked am going to leave them in as long as i can, will also try a few other things i have seen on other pages here, berberis sticks or holly, citrus peel, tea bags soaked in jeyes fluid, even (this made me laugh) from Muddywellies, a blown up balloon under the soil LOL!!!
BANG!!! hee hee
