Sandra:
Did you cut the tips off to start new plants?
These plant grow so quickly, before you know it they will be filled out.

yes i did Delonix.
i experimented this year some i cut some in he autum they produced regrowth before the winter set in. some i cut some after the frost and some i will cut next month.when the frosts are gone. i have beeen takin photos so i will be able tto see what and when is the best thing to do to cope with the frosts. they dont like our winters and i always bring some indoors as an insurance policy. this years frost was the lowest and longest in the last 40 years.

Sandra:
It's a good idea to have some cuttings as an insurance for the following Spring. I was actually surprised that these plants grew outside in England.
One good thing about experiencing the coldest Winter weather in 40 years...these plants will tolerate your average Winter weather with no problem.

as we live on the west coast we get much milder winters than other parts of the country. the sea breeze helps to cut a lot of the frosts. all was white with frost again this morning but it was the normal frosts for my garden and was gone by 7am...
we are into spring now, a few more weeks and the frosts will be gone.
