Hywel- I do miss her a lot...my grandpa is the one I really feel sorry for though. They were married for about 60 years. I think that he's doing a little better now, but it's been very hard for him. They were high school sweethearts.

It must be devastating to loose someone after all those years. My mum and dad had their 60th anniversary just a month before dad died. It's a long time to be together, especially if you count the years before they were married. You'll never stop missing your Nana but I'm sure you have lots of happy memories :o)

Isn't it so very romantic Jacque... to live happily-ever-after w/ your high school sweetheart :) The photo of my Nana is her senior photo that she gave to my grandpa when they were dating.
Hywel- It's so wonderful that your parents were able to celebrate their 60th anniversay...what an accomplishment! I'm sorry to hear that your dad died soon after.
My grandfather is a very strong man and he was/ is devastated. He's coping , by keeping himself busy. I think that's all that anyone can do. We must carry on...it hurts a lot in the beginning. It hurts less and less every day, but I don't think that it ever goes away. You're right though... I do have very fond memories that I will cherish always. Ouch! Still puts a lump in my throat though. Too soon not to be sad about Nana...
