I hope we will have some snow this year Bonkers, and all those bushes by the lake will be covered with azaleas... with snow :)

The Lago Negro history - Lago Negro, meaning Black Lake - back to the immigration period, story the fact that the pinus trees were brought from Baden-Württemberg, southwestern Germany black forest, planted in Gramado region.
Also the history tells about a huge fire destroying several german pinus during a extreme hot summer allowing a few strands ran and be dammed there where the black lake is placed nowadays.
Azahleas and hydrangeas were planted in the banks of the lake.
A few original pinus can be seen in the background.

Also, you can please yourself with those ferns covered with snow ... :o)!

Very interesting about the Pine trees originating in Germany...it is such a beautiful setting.
