Hazel showing Catkins & Flowers

This is a picture of the catkins on my contorted hazel. I hope you can also see the very small red flowers.

I never thought about it until I spotted them Janey. I suppose it's obvious really as the tree is self fertile so it must carry both male and female reproductive bits.

Yes I can Toto.So tiny aren't they. I used to have a lovely contorted hazel, but dug it up & gave to a friend to make way for a conservatory. Have never replaced it.
