As Seen on TV Lanhydrock

As Seen on TV Lanhydrock

As Lanhydrock house was featured on BBC Antiques roadshow last weekend, it reminded me of my visit in March 2008. A really cold, damp day but the scenery in and around the gardens was spectacular.

Hi Sandra, we haven't really had much of the rain they forecast but looks like I'll get soaked when I go to the football tonight. No roof at the end where I stand. Never mind, we have to go through it for our club!!! I must be mad, I travelled all the way from Essex to The Cotswolds(near Stroud) last Saturday to watch them, so a bit of rain won't hurt. Beautiful day here yesterday, I managed to do 4 gardens. Have you and you hubby started doing any work on gardens yet?

The mighty Grays Athletic (who?, I hear you say) the town of my birth, although I live about 8 miles away now but go to nearly every game. They are in the Blue Square Premier(one below football league) but are in danger of relegation this season so they need all the support they can get,. That's why 49 hardy souls(including myself) travelled to support them in Gloucestershire on Saturday. At home to Torquay Utd tonight! The wind is really getting up here now and starting to rain harder. It's obviously moving over from the west to east. Hopefully it will be cleared by the morning so I can do some work tomorrow.

I live near Lanhydrock Paul, this is Respryn bridge. This time of year the little wild daffodils (Lent Lillys) grow all along the river. Then a bit later the woods of Lanhydrock is a sea of bluebells. PamD again.

Thanks Pam. I didn't know the name of the bridge but someone my wife knew told us to make sure we walked up and saw the bridge. We were glad we did. It was lovely and I took a few pics.
