Fabulous!......an added bonus to be able to plant on the top of the wall....and those old steps with the ivy...............

The white cluster of flowers on the wall is candytuft, thanks Gilli I had forgotten what it was when I posted the picture. The steps are not that old, we had these erected when we moved in and they are just paving slabs and I planted the ivy to break up the newness of them which makes them look old.

I like the old wall. Is that an Iberis tumbling over it. It's beautiful.

Yes Blodyn, it is an Iberis (candytuft). Our garden is on all different levels and therefore we have lots of old walls holding back the soil. I did not build this one, but I did go to a dry stone walling course some years ago and there are many of my constructions in and around the property. Hard work, but very satisfying.
