Pity you can't find London Pride. I find this plant so useful, it is not fussy over the soil that it's put into and is so pretty and dainty and goes with just about everything. Good luck with finding it in BC

I love it LMV and have looked all over. I had some in my garden down on the coast but unfortunately it got left behind when I moved years ago....I never thought I'd have trouble finding more. :o(

Pity we are not allowed to send plants through the post I would send some pieces for you to grow on. I wonder how they would grow from seeds?

Ha ha ha....I was not familier with this plant so I googled "London Pride AND iris".....I got a load of guy-pride march in London sites and aparently one of the organisers is someone called Iris..... LOL Do you know the botanical name of this plant please?

When googling London Pride for Gilli regarding seeds I also got the Gay movement, but not much about the plant. The small amount of London Pride showing is a Saxifraga (London pride group) Variegata. I believe that this PCI would be the Iris tenax, an Oregon Iris, but this is a guess. There is the facility to send photos on their website www.pacificcoastiris.org so I will do this with the 3 PCI's that I have (hopefully a 4th as last year I did a swop with a friend for a very pale blue plant) and post any information I can get. Again these irises were given to me by a superb gardening friend, who has since died, so they are very precious members of my garden.
