So, I noticed today it is starting to smell a bit! It does this in the wild to attract insects to pollinate it so I learnt. It's a sort of mild ammonia type of smell - hope it stays mild or plant will be moving to elsewhere in the house!

Looks great. I hope the smell stays contained. :-) My philodendron bloom was more like this, though not as showy.

Smell stayed very faint and the day after this the flower spike started to turn brown and die off so happy I took this picture when I did.

It's really doing well Gillian. The flower part reminds me of an Arum.
