Right now in San Diego there are many Tabebuia ipetiginosa - Ipe Trees blooming everywhere.

Yes mine is just now starting to bloom all over the tree after so much rain - my tree is now around 10-11 metres tall. When it's covered in flowers it's spectacular and I love the carpet that's left underneath when they all start falling off.

Our trees start to bloom in May or June...of course we don't receive any rain from about now until if we're lucky the ending of November. However, sometimes we do receive some showers from the monsoons that start in late June - Sept., that's if the showers drift west of the Laguna Mountains from the desert.
