I've kept it in the same pot Tastey, and had it on an east facing window sill, in a shadier spot, kept it dry then fed it it stays the same Lol (I'm in two minds to give it the order of the boot! lol)

Hmmmm....so this is the flowerless violet....I don't know what else to suggest...like Tasty says they like tight pots, to dry out a bit before watering, bright indirect light. Have you tried giving it a different type of food? Maybe something with a higher phosphorous level.
Try and stimulate some growth by re-potting. Break off as much of the old soil as possible and repot with fresh soil. Prune off some of the bottom leaves and then repot with the bottom leaves just above the soil level. Make sure the plant only has one crown. If there is a new crown forming the plant won't flower as well. I have read too that AV's should be in pots no bigger than 4" across.

I also just read that sometimes gently disturbing the roots by sqeezing the pot or thumping it firmly on a table will stimulate a stubborn plant into flowering.....worth a try.

Many thanks for that Gilli..............I will repot it this morning....then threaten it with a thump...he...he.....if that doesn't work after a while..........it can see the inside of my bin!! lol

I'll keep my fingers crossed for it Janey. I'm sure it would be happier putting out flowers than providing vegetation in your dustbin. :o)

The infamous violet. Two of mine are doing this, and they are showing this compact growth as well. The rest have started. Keep us posted, if the repot works, I'm doing mine.

NO flowers!!!! I have some orchids that are like that...it's disappointing isn't it! Do you feed it Janey. Does it get bright indirect light? I hear they like to be in a tight pot and not over watered. I hope it gives you some flowers soon :)
