I definately agree, summer coming. Soon, no more darkness and the sound of running water! (It's a deluge as the ice breaks and melts away. :-)

I just adore this photo! That is soooo beautiful. amazing colours in a natural display! Very cool, GT.

I froze solid even in the car learning how to catch these colors with the camera. This is all permafrost and swamp with tiny spruce and the only natural larch I've seen around. If we had active northern lights this winter I would finally be able to catch them after all this training.

What has the aurora been like this winter?

Poor. Not an active year on the sun. Everyone's been talking about the lack of lights this year. They had to post an article in the paper from the meteorological lab up at the university explaining it to us. :-)

It must be wonderful for you to know that spring will bring such light nights.

The darkness just disappears. Before I know it this is midnight.
