I do envy you Pamd having Eden and Heligan on your doorstep. Was there a lot of damage to them during the big freeze? I was down in St Ives mid-February and was shocked to see so many plants killed. We have been going to that part of the world for 25 years now and I have never seen such damage. It was heartbreaking. We are going down to Mousehole for a week in May so it will be interesting to see how things have recoved. We are also having a day in one of my favourite gardens,Tresco.

The Scillys are lovely, we have been there a few times, acually staying on Tresco. I wonder how their exotics have fared?. The Proteas etc. were looking a bit sad at Heligan last time I was there, couple of weeks ago. Mousehole is a lovely village & we also like Lamorna, very small but quaint.
