Seeing Irish's nectar recipe for bee beer reminded me of this photo I took last year of an exhausted bee in our conservatory, feeding on honey on the end of a kebab skewer. It revived within minutes and was gently ushered out the door. You can see his/her proboscus taking up the honey.
