Desert Shrub Blooming

This is the first of several desert plants I took yesterday, March 31, 2009. It was the perfect day to be there as the temps were only around 88 degrees F./31 degrees C. a comfortable day in the desert.
In a month or less it will average at least 100 degrees F/ 38 degrees C and in Summer frequently can have temps up to 120 degrees/ 49 degrees...which is horrible!!!
