These yellow flowered plants are in the Anza Borrego Desert by the hundred of millions along the roads, boulders, everywhere.

How gorgeous - our dry desert areas here in Oz produce some fantastic wildflowers too - this one is so bright and pretty.

Thank for the comments!
Bernieh, the photos I took are only a very few of the many desert flowers that grow in the Mojave and Sonoran deserts in California.

Do you like desert plants?
You would love the desert in early spring. It's full of flowers and the heat is bearable, typically the temps are no more than 95ºF (35ºC).

Yes. I like looking at photos of Desert Plants ...
that's why I asked Peter to create the new GoYpedia category for me...
... but I'm not always sure which Cacti etc. are right for the Desert Plants category ...
The desert in springtime must be wonderful !

That's terrific! We grow so many desert plants here in San Diego due to the lack of rainfall.
I'll see what I can do to find some of my desert plant pics.
I'm planning a trip out to the desert this spring (early March, if time permits). The desert always looks wonderful after some good winter rains. This doesn't happen very often...sometimes it doesn't happen for 50 - 100 years. The deserts of the southwest typically get most of their rains during the monsoon season (in summer - June - Sept).
