This is a very close up view of the last of the three bulbs of Amaryllis I bought at the first Continental Market held here 9 years ago. The red one has flowered every year but this one, as last year it split itself into several smaller portions none of which are likely to flower this year. :(

Ok, I'll take the hint to make a question :o)
as you are a "balcony gardner" just like me...
I have this flower my grandmother used to raise... since ever, as far as I can remember from my childhood... that flower was there every year...
in a pot!!!
I cant remember granny moving it from that pot, spliting the bulbs or anything like this...
she passed away in 1989... and plant was moved to my mother house... for the next .... 15 years!!!!... not moved as well...
when my mother died the plant came to my house... I moved it to a new pot, and it is growing and growing.... the last year it gave me 5 flowers!
I'd like to split the bulbs and grow one to each of my children...
but I'm scared to death to split and loose them...
do you have any suggestions???
the plant is an scadoxus multiflorus (may flower) (pag 10 on my photos)
thanks in advance
