Thanks Deida, Pansypotter and Chrismalaga - these torenias are one of my all time favourite flowers. They flower for ages and they come in this lovely dark purple, a lighter purple and a pink which look fantastic for months. They require very little care, and give such colourful rewards.

lovely colour Bernie, I was going to ask if it's a torenia, and have just seen your comment above, that it is. Must get some this summer. What is the plant in your photo here? Looks very interesting.

Hi Alandrapal - I buy these in little punnets every year and the only name attached is 'torenia' so I'm not sure of any other name for this lovely purple one - sorry.

Yes it sure is for real Muddywalters - I have the beautiful plant in about five different colours now. It's one of the best all-year round bloomers for a dry, hot garden ... can't beat them!
