Euphorbia polychroma (close-up) - 2009

I like Euphorbia and had a couple of different ones in my other garden but am reluctant to put one in the garden I have now because of the space as these tend to grow suckers underground. Is this a compact one. It looks small.

Yes lindak, this one forms a small dome about a couple of feet across but less tall. The one to avoid is E.robbiae that runs like the clappers

Thanks Andrew if I can get it I will as they give a bit of structure. My new garden is taking shape a bit now but the weeds and invasive plants that were in the beds are begginning to sprout again,. I am digging them out but some are on roots undergound so am spraying them. I have 3 hedgehogs visiting my little garden so slug pellets are a no no.

I now own two E, polychroma plants - my 'Wisley' purchase has a name and the flowers are bigger. My other E.polychroma is in flower now and I can see the difference.
