This is beautiful- like a miniature mountain

Gorgeous I love it. I've often thought about trying something like this.

It is easy. The little Sedum´s: You put the little stem into the earth and it will grow and prosper. The Saxifraga´s: the same. The others: Make a very little hole between the surrounding ones and put it there. Maybe it´s practicable only with those montain-flowers, because they take what they´re getting.

The beginning was different, there were all kinds of little plants, and the pot was too wet, expecially in winter. So I had to widen the hole underneath. In this case I was putting some lime and lime-stone underneath (2 years ago).So it seems to be well-drained.

Very fasinating information Nelke, I just love your stone trough planting. May have to give it a try one of these days .
