Mangifera indica - Little Mango Tree

This little mango tree is close to my house. It had many fruit on it. Posted for my GoY friend Milky. Pic taken last Summer.
I think this is a Kent variety

Lovely height to pick from. Are the fruits good to eat from such a young plant???

Paulthegardener:

This is a heavily pruned tree. I assume it is a pretty old tree. I've seen this tree cut back drastically often. Last year the whole top was cut off.
I think the owners are elderly people...all their citrus, figs and other fruit trees are all cut back to small trees.

I almost forgot the answer your question. Yes, an established mango at this size should have very good fruit.

I didn't realise it had been topped! Thought it was young .Thanks for the info!

Yes, this photo is deceiving, because the details don't show up very well when uploaded on GoY. The 3 trunk are quite thick. Even the fruit look much smaller then their actual size...even though they were not ripe yet.
