Japanese Shield Fern

This is beautiful. Well captured, taken just bat the right time. I love ferns, particularly in shady areas under trees etc.

Looks like they're having a strecth after waking from a long nap :)

they are lovely. new one to me i bought a few ferns last year and i am emjoying watching them wake up///;-))

They are lovely arnt they, this is the first time i have grown them i have 4 different ones now, including a shuttlecock fern which i am told can get really big - i hope so could do with some hieght where it is planted - i am really more of a flower person, but i have two areas in this newish garden that are perfect for them and after all it is always best to garden alonside nature rather than against it
