Toto do you feed your Robins in live mealworms?because where I used to live the Robin thta lived in my garden preffered the wriggly ones though since we have moved and bought some of the dried ones the Robins refused to touch them and I ended up throwing them away because not even the Blackbirds or Starlings would touch them....

I feed them every morning and every evening Bonkers.

Yes I feed them live ones Tina although I'm just about to try the dried ones as the live ones are so expensive. Bonkers has advised to soak them in tepid water for a while before feeding them to the birds and I intend to follow his advice.

Yes Toto sounds very much like you giving them dry Tina as cant beleive a starling would turn its nose up .. all are our pics are of birds eating the re - hydrated ones , so it does work honest !

Thanks for the info Toto.I thought perhaps because they were not wriggling the birds didn't seem to find them appealing whereas the live ones were gobbled up no sooner had I gone back indoors.I will sort some out from my bag of seed that bhas them in and see what happens..

One thing I have noticed though,is that some of the dried ones I have bought in those tubs only seem to be the casing whereas the ones I ordered through the post was the whole thing,insides included....

I think that Bonkers will be able to give you better advice than me. I am going to try to by some from Wilko's this week.
