Red Faced Squirrel

I took this photo today of this squirrel scoffing from from a bird feeder. It wasn't until a was viewing it on my computer that I noticed it had a red face. Is this normal for grey squirrel ? I wasn't aware of it whilst I was watching it. I took 6 photo's of it and they all show a red face. Are the reds and greys cross breeding ? Will they all have red and grey bits? Will petrol ever be a pound a gallon?
