thank you Janiemclean, i understand what you mean about the veg plot being near the house..... I have a patio area immediately outside the back door...then steps that take you up to the garden area which is quite small....the garden is surrounded with smallish flower beds, the only thing would be to turn a flower border into a veg plot, perhaps that is what puts me "off", as i love my flowers....but i will consider this....thanks again and thank you for your other lovely comments....

My gardens are little too Motinot and I too live flowers so I just grow few things like tomatoes, peppers ... in pot on the patio.

I know what you mean Ualda...i keep cutting new borders out...my husband says we'll not have any grass left if i dont stop..oops!...lol

Yeah, me too we have a very tiny lawn left but it's enough for the two of us.

my hubby has told meour borders are too small in places and to make them bigger!! dont need telling twice

This Montana was growing all along the fence and right over and down next doors fence...It even crept along their clothes line...The lady who lived there loved it but she passed away since this pic was taken....The new neighbours wanted to do work on the fence and didnt want it there so i took it out......:<(
