Are your elm trees healthy? We have dutch elm disease over here and elms only grow into very small trees then die as the beetles attack them. There is no cure, apparently. Very sad.

We have Dutch elm disease here as well. The city trimmed these trees back several years ago as the power lines were running through them,
They are holding up so far.

This is a lovely photo! We had the Dutch Elm disease kill all the lovely towering Elms in a swath across Southern Ontario... It has been almost 40 years since and they are finally returning...The progress of the disease was from South to North. Maybe they couldn't take the climate and died out...but at any rate things have returned to normal for our elms..touching wood... I'm sure that the Min. of the Env. is keeping track.
