That's unusual - I'm normally about three weeks behind Kent here. Are you in a frost pocket?

Yes! The corner of the village where I live is called Frosty Corner!! It hits really hard in the front garden but is a little better in the back. I am not expecting the white one to flower as it was only given to me less than 2 years ago and I understand they don't like being moved. Is this correct?

I understand they do take a while to settle - if it's a herbaceous one very fussy about planting depth, too deep stops them flowering.

I'll leave it this year and check on the depth at the end of the year if nothing happens. Thanks for the info. I would hate to lose it as it was given to me by my neighbour, Sid, who died earlier this year.
