Blue is such an intense colour. These just glow.

Indeed. I have a few tiny star-shaped flowers exactly the same colour in amongst them too. Not sure what they are...

Is that one of them about half way up the photo on the left hand side? I don't know what it is but if you post a pic, I bet someone will be able to tell you.

You have good eyes, Toto - yes indeed. I've now posted a new photo of it.

I'll look for that Elke.

Would the other bulbs be Chionodoxa, Elke ?
See some on my photo which I posted before the chubby pigeon and after the yellow iris...

I hope mine will develop into a nice clump like this.

I'm sure they will Hywel. I just looked at a photo from this time last year and the patch was much smaller and less crowded.

Mine haven't come up..I planted them last fall and it got quite mild and they begin to grow then..Do you suppose t hey will come up next year, Elke?

That's a shame, NN - I guess it has been warm enough by now for them to have popped up. I have a feeling it took ours a couple of years to bloom. I seem to remember being disappointed the first year. But there are a lot of burrowing creatures that like to nibble on bulbs... I would plant a few more in fall and see what happens.
