I am pleased that this young shrub came through the winter unscathed.

When i lived up in surrey... we had a lovely Ceanothus bush in the front garden... it grew huge and people would stop to admire it when they walked past.......i tried to grow one down here on south coast but it didnt do very well and died in the winter...................

What a shame - Half of my huge old one died last year - suddenly. I am told that they are not long-lived shrubs... I am not expecting the other half to be with us next year. :-(
