My seeds were from those very large poppies you see in fields. A friend collected hundreds for me from ones that grew in her garden. I've grown a few californian poppy seeds this year and have just planted them out - it will be interesting to see if they flourish or not.

Generally Poppies will grow where the soil has been disturbed thats why you see so many on ploughed fields . !

Did you do anything to help them germinate? I was given dozens of poppy seeds a couple of years ago and spread them throughout my garden, back and front. So far not one single poppy! You're going to have a really colourful meadow.
