Wild or field gladiolus

This is growing wild on the street corner...it's been catching my for the last week. I finally stopped for a look :) I wasn't sure what it was at first, but the more I looked at the more it looked like a gladiolus. A quick web search confirmed it!

I would try to take it... (?!) There are so many garden-fleeers, and sometimes I take them. Before they get mawn.
